Jacques Marie Mage is a maker of rare, collectible spectacles that combine historical motifs with precious materials, innovative production methods, and ethical business practices.
Founded in 2014, by Jerome Jacques Marie, our mission is to create rarefied experiences that elevate the senses. To do so, we embrace a unique palette of ideas, and manufacturing techniques to produce powerful, sophisticated, and meaningfully idiosyncratic products that embody an uncompromising balance of form, function, and fairness.
HERITAGE
At JMM, we delight in attempting to see through the eyes of those artistic and intellectual giants that came before us. Our design practice is inextricably informed by the cultural revolutions of the last three centuries, drawing encouragement and inspiration from the great epics and anti-heroes of our collective histories. We attempt to observe, reconstruct, and re-tell these stories via products that maintain the high standards of quality and taste upheld by our progenitors.
ART DECO
As much about simplicity and as it was about surprise, Art Deco sought the ecstasy of creativity via high-minded ideals that produced a signature style that beamed with an innate sense of confidence, optimism, and motion.
THE AMERICAN WEST
A landscape and mythos both majestic and devoid, metaphysically occupying that liminal space between inspiration and terror, sweeping vistas full of creativity and destruction, harmony and violence, need and abundance.
Limited Production: Frames are released in small, numbered batches-often ranging from 100 to 500 pieces per run. Once a batch sells out, it is typically never reissued
FIRST EMPIRE
With the belief that “the word impossible is not French”, Napoleon employed artists whose aesthetic would be called “Empire Style”, a vision of power, grandeur, and grace that existed at the vanguard of a new era in modern history.
