LA LOOP — Brand & Craft Statement

LA LOOP invented the necklace for eyewear in 1999. It was a patented design that took a simple need—keeping your glasses close—and turned it into an entirely new accessory category. The buyer at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Design Store recognized this early and brought it into the store. This launched our wholesale business and established LA LOOP as a genuine design innovation rather than just another accessory. More than twenty-five years later, we are still the original, sold in select stores across 28 countries and worn by a global community of Loopers who want pieces that are both beautiful and useful.

At the heart of every design is our patented swiveling hinge. It holds eyewear securely in the loop while the cord moves freely around it, so your glasses stay in place with no fuss. Two decades on, nothing else works quite like it.

Our craft and manufacturing

Every LA LOOP is made by hand and begins with intention. We source premium materials from trusted makers around the world, including Italian leathers, modern acetate, sterling and plated silver, luminous gold, and hand-strung beads in rich textures. Each piece is brought to life through careful hand-finishing and precise assembly by artisans with decades of experience.

The work lives in the hands that make it. Women in downtown Los Angeles. Leather artisans in Padova, Italy. The women and men plating our jewelry in Cranston, Rhode Island, and in the Jewelry District of Los Angeles. The result is jewelry you actually live in: timeless, durable, and made to move with you day after day.

Every loop is small, and every loop is a story meant to start a conversation. That is what we have always been about: connecting fashion and function, craftsmanship and community.
