THE M3023

MATSUDA produces the Antique Silver/Cobalt Blue/Grey Gradient colorway in two distinct shades of blue, depending on the frame size.

The smaller 52-16 size features a lighter cobalt blue acetate side shield, while the larger 57-16 size is finished in a deeper, darker blue. Both are authentic MATSUDA color variations produced specifically for their respective sizes.

Robert Downey Jr., as Tony Stark, wore several MATSUDA designs in connection with Iron Man 3:

1. The MATSUDA M3023 in Antique Silver/Cobalt Blue/Grey Gradient, size 52-16.
2. The MATSUDA M3023 in Matte Gold/Matte Black/Brown Gradient, size 52-16, fitted with custom red lenses created for the film.
3. The MATSUDA M2002 in Antique Gold/Brown/Brown Gradient, shown with custom purple lenses in the Super Bowl trailer and with its original lenses near the end of the film.

Although Robert Downey Jr. wore the smaller M3023 size, his choice does not necessarily determine the best fit for another wearer. We recommend selecting the size according to your own measurements and preferred fit.

Select M3023 colorways are available in both a 52-16 and 57-16 size. Other colors may be produced only in the larger 57-16 size.

The 52-16 generally offers a more tailored fit, while the 57-16 provides a broader and more substantial silhouette. However, the best choice depends on more than whether your face is narrow or wide. Frame shape, bridge fit, temple length, and your preferred amount of coverage should also be considered.

The measurements of a well-fitting pair you already own can provide a useful point of reference. These numbers are typically printed inside one of the temples. Unfortunately MATSUDA only makes this model in the colors listed. We are unable to change the shields or frame color from one frame to another.

There you can choose the lens material, vision type and any options you desire for your new lenses.
